I grew up in a family business that has owned and operated hotels since the 1960s. For more than a decade, I worked in hospitality management, in both the rooms and food & beverage divisions. I'm also an avid traveler, and have extensive knowledge of the hospitality industry, from the prospective of an owner/operator and a consumer.
In 2019, motivated by the mental health crisis and its impact on the hospitality industry, I took a break from the day-to-day operations of the hotel business and enrolled in the Boston College School of Social Work. Concurrent to graduate school, I spent two years helping to build and manage a virtual coaching team for a health-technology company. During this time, I witnessed many people have difficulty maintaining healthy routines when traveling.
In 2021, I founded CXN Travel, which combines the traditional benefits of a travel agency with the option to add individualized health & wellness coaching. Using my extensive hospitality experience, clinical education and coaching expertise, I help clients make the most of the travel experience. Through my consulting company, Recover Hospitality, I also offer assistance to hospitality businesses looking to better support the mental health of both guests and staff.
